North Carolina rap doe..

I mean,

the last folks knew about North Carolina and rap was Petey Pizzle Fashizzle,

also known as,

Petey Pablo,

BUT

J. Cole DID just drop that HIGHLY anticipated album,

and to be honest,

it IS decent.

Can I be real tho?

To be really real,

I feel like ANOTHER N.C. rapper put out a BETTER album on that SAME day.

Enter Phonte.

Now,

I been a fan of Little Brother since I heard "Lovin' It",

AND I made SURE to do my homework and listen to the previous albums BEFORE The Minstrel Show.

They are ALL bangers!

So,

just as expected,

Phontigallo did NOT drop the ball.

He DID,

however,

pass it to Big K.R.I.T. on one track,

Pharoahe Monch on another,

AND

one of my new favorite sangers,

Eric Roberson,

as well.

Sooo,

I gotta agree with Jio on this one,

in the sense,

that folks are PROBABLY gonna be upset with me when I say that J. Cole did NOT release the best album out of North Carolina this year.....
